The
monetary goal of RhythmRIDE
for Zimbabwe is to raise $25,000 to be
split between three non-profit organizations:
Village Health Project, Ancient
Ways/Nhimbe for Progress, and the Shungu
DzeVana Trust. Please help us achieve this
goal by contributing at the highest level you
can afford. Thank you.
These non-profits (see the
Cause
section for more information) depend on their
donors’ support to continue making a difference
for the Zimbabwean people. Please pledge a generous
tax-deductible donation toward my trail miles.
By sponsoring me on this hike, you are helping
to fight poverty, starvation and AIDS in Zimbabwe.
The
Boulder County Aids Project (BCAP),
a local 501c(3) non-profit organization, has been
kind enough to act as an Umbrella Account for
the three non-profits supported by RhythmRIDE
for Zimbabwe. BCAP is an AIDS service organization
that provides HIV Care and Prevention services
to Boulder and Broomfield Counties at no cost
to clients. Acting only as a fiscal agent, BCAP
will take in all of the donations and divide them
accordingly between the non-profits when the project
is over. Unless a specific non-profit
is designated, each donation will be split evenly
between all three.
I’m personally financing
all costs of the hike itself along with some help
from corporate sponsorships for my food and equipment.
That means 100% of the monies raised will go to
support the efforts of the three non-profit organizations.
